Visiting the Tribute Center - Group Reservations

Group Activities at Tribute:

Galleries - On this self-guided tour through our five galleries, the visitor experiences the story of September 11, 2001 through exhibits, film, artifacts, and the voices of those who experienced the events firsthand. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete the entire tour. The last gallery that shows additional information about the affects of 9/11 and the future plans for ground zero.

Audio Tour - This self guided 50 minute tour takes the group outside into the World Financial Center for a bird's eye view of Ground Zero while listening to personal stories from rescue workers, survivors, family members, and fire fighters. Each individual receives a personal hand held device and headset through which they listen to sixteen pre-recorded stories from people about their loss, evacuation, and rescue work.

Audio & Galleries Combination - After the audio tour, the group has the option of coming into the galleries for an additional 30 minutes, making the entire experience 90 minutes in length. Audio Languages are offered in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Mandarin.

Group Rates:

Galleries only - $5.00 per person (approximately 30 minutes)

Audio only - $10.00 per person (approximately 60 minutes)

Audio & Galleries - $10.00 per person (approximately 90 minutes)

Hours of Operation for Groups:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday open to groups from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Tuesday open to groups from 12:00pm to 4:30pm.

Sunday open to groups from 12:00pm to 3:30pm.

Group Reservation Policy:

Reservations are required for groups of 15 persons or more.

Reservations are not confirmed until a reservation form is completed, signed and faxed back to the Tribute Center fax number, 212-393-9163. An email confirming the receipt of this fax will be sent to you.

Reservations are required no later than 30 days prior to group's visit with final confirmation no later than 14 days in advance.

Payment may be submitted prior to group's visit by check or credit card. Credit card will only be charged on the day of arrival.

Tribute WTC Visitor Center reserves the right to cancel reservations if the reservation policy is not followed.

Group Visit Guidelines:

Once your group arrives, please line up single file outside the Tribute Visitor Center. Please keep the side walk clear for pedestrian traffic.

The group leader should come into Tribute and let the staff know that the group is here, from the point 'entrance pins' will be issued to the group and they will be directed to the activity which was reserved.

Groups doing the Audio & Galleries Combination will commence with the audio tour then upon return shall proceed into the galleries. The group leader/ chaperone will be asked to leave a driver's license/ credit card, which will be held until all the devices are returned and counted.

Very large groups will be 'paced in' the galleries 40 persons at a time, with each group no more than five minutes apart.
