School Visits to Tribute Visitor Center

About Class Visits

The Tribute Center encourages learners to utilize primary sources materials such as oral histories and artifacts to help understand the impact of September 11th.

Gallery visits often conclude with a meaningful conversation with a guide that will share their 9/11 story with your students.

To book your group visit or for more information, please contact
Group Reservation Services at 212-393-9160, ext. 132 or groupservices@tributewtc.org.

Pre and Post-Visit Activities

Students and teachers can explore our deeply moving classroom toolkit, "September 11th Personal Stories of Transformation." Video stories are accompanied by discussion questions that guide students to connect the outcomes of September 11th to the choices that students make in their own lives.

We suggest that teachers engage their students in individual research projects after exploring these personal and inspirational stories. Students can find research assistance using our research links and bibliographies. Classroom Service Projects are also suggested.

This program is also available for free as a DVD-Rom. If you would like a copy sent to your school, please send a request to education@tributewtc.org Include your name, name of school, grade of students and address.
