About School Programs at
the Tribute Center

The Tribute Center’s school programs share personal stories selected to help students build a chronology of the events of September 11th. The program’s goals include engaging students by working with primary source materials and using critical thinking skills to construct a deeper understanding of the importance of this historic event in their lives, and in our city, nation, and world.

Our mission includes a focus on the extraordinary civic response generated by 9/11 and on empowering students to take humanitarian action in their home community “in tribute” to this powerful, contemporary history.
