About Tribute Center’s
Classroom Resource Materials

The Tribute Center, based on the concept of Person-to-Person History, strives to encourage learners to collect and utilize primary source materials, such as oral histories, to help understand the significance of this event. We encourage students to engage in additional research in order to provide context to these authentic experiences and to engage in school-based projects that will allow students to share what they have learned with their school community.

Our mission includes a focus on the extraordinary civic response generated by 9/11 and on empowering students to take humanitarian action in their home community “in tribute” to this powerful, contemporary history.
