9/11 Day of Service and Rememberance

As we remember the anniversary of 9/11, thank you to everyone who volunteered on September 6, 2012 with the 9/11 Tribute Center and USO to build bikes for children of our active military. 400 bikes were built in less than four hours. Your day of service will bring smiles for years to come. Bikes are being distributed to families stationed in Syracuse, NY and in North Carolina at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Fort Bragg Army Installation, and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. A huge thank you and hug from the Tribute Center and USO families!!

9/11 Tribute Center Volunteer Program

Volunteer and continue to make a difference! The 9/11 Tribute Center's volunteer walking tour at the 9/11 Memorial offers an enduring way to help others understand, remember and recover. Tribute volunteers, all people who directly impacted by the events of September 11th - survivors, family members, first responders, volunteers and Lower Manhattan residents - are the official tour guides on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza. By sharing their personal experiences, Tribute volunteers connect visitors to the meaning of the Memorial, the magnitude of the September 11th and human toll of the tragedy in deeply powerful ways.

To learn more about the rewards, community and support that come from volunteering, please contact: Nancy Gamerman volunteer@tributewtc.org or call 212-422-3520 X112. More information and an online application available here.

9/11 Tribute Center

The 9/11 Tribute Center is a project of the September 11th Families Association, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. All proceeds and donations benefit the operation of the 9/11 Tribute Center and educational programming. The 9/11 Tribute Center is located at 120 Liberty Street along the south side of the World Trade Center. The Center was created by the September 11th Families' Association to share the personal stories of family members, survivors, rescue and recovery workers, volunteers, and residents of Lower Manhattan. By engaging visitors in the authentic experiences of those most affected by the events of February 26, 1993 and September 11, 2001, the center's five galleries and its walking tour program convey the courage, loss, heroism, and grief of those who responded to the tragedy.

The 9/11 Tribute Center is open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday, from 10AM to 6 PM; and Sundays from 11 AM to 5 PM.
