Objects hold people's personal memories of 9/11

We all save things that symbolize powerful moments in our lives, and it is within these objects that we anchor our feelings and memories. The significance of a special object can evolve over time. Although symbolic objects connect us to moments in the past, they also point the way forward as we realize our relationships to them have changed. Each treasured object shared in this exhibit is accompanied by its September 11th story and the meaning it holds for its owner today.
